Welch: More Students Looking to Save

Clemson University students are calling on the school’s Board of Trustees to freeze tuition. A series of protests began after the Board’s decision to raise tuition, which many students cannot afford due to the pandemic.

Students feel a major disconnect between them and the Board.

Tallo CEO and co-founder Casey Welch spoke with FOX Carolina about how students can save.

“The best thing that [students] can do is plan ahead and know when deadlines are [for scholarship opportunities],” Welch said. “Apply throughout your college career, not just going into it. And keep in my there are scholarships for more than just grades. Look for opportunities that fit some of your hobbies and your passions.”
